Swim Team Sponsorship 2025-2026

Dear Community Business Partner and friend,

The Lima Family YMCA Barracudas are coming off of another championship season in the Northwest Ohio YMCA Swim League. We expect approximately 120 participants (ages 5-18) from the Lima and Allen County area to compete with the Lima Barracudas this winter in either (or both!) the YMCA and USA competitive season.

The Lima Barracudas Swim Team is a member of the Northwest Ohio YMCA Swim League (NWOYSL), which includes teams from Toledo, Defiance, Galion, Wapakoneta, Marion and other communities in our region. During meets, families from these communities come together to enjoy a morning or afternoon of youth swim competition, while listening to the meet announcer, enjoying the concession stand, and visiting with one another. There are approximately 100-250 swimmers, family members, and guests at each meet, with our season highlight of the Fall Fiesta expecting more than 1,000 visitors to the Lima YMCA.

The Lima Barracudas have sent swimmers to the YMCA National Short-Course and Long-Course Championships, USA Futures, USA Jr. Winter Nationals, and have been a part of the athletic development of many NCAA and NAIA Swimmers. We are committed to the holistic development of every athlete in our program. While we have examples of many elite swimmers throughout our history, our YMCA pillars of Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility are actively engaged with every participant in our swim program. We are committed to developing our swimmers into complete humans that will grow and serve their community after they leave our program.
